My cousin is CRAZY.

I think she's in love with Watermelon. ((shudder))

...You see, she's only K1.

That's 13 years younger than me, and 20 years younger than him.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

The trauma...

Oh yes. I left my MMR notes in the lab where Miss Kwa lost her external hard disk! That is really a cursed room man... However, some kind soul found my notes and dropped it in front of her room, so I'm getting them on Tuesday. Hope she finds her hard drive soon... Her notes are all inside! :( So sad. I know the feeling... I lost my thumb drive after saving one of my articles for Attitude in it. That was a long time ago, but I'll never forget the pain X_x I had to re-write it, of course.

Oh yeah, Ms Peter ROCKS!!! AHAHAHAHAHA! She is sooo ultra funny. Hmm I think this sem, the module that tops the rest is LSC! Not saying the rest are bad, but honestly, LSC is The Lecture that I truly enjoy from the beginning right up to the very end. And I'm not afraid to shout out answers because Ms Peter has this habit of asking us to do recaps at the end of the lecture. And somehow she makes me hang on to her every word, haha... Her jokes are wonderful, I don't want to miss any of them. And she doesn't do them on purpose. As Min says, she has a very British sense of humour.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to revising for her CA. I think I'll start tonight :D Now, I'm gonna troop down to the convenience store and get some ice-cream... Magnum, here I come!

ARE YOU READING THIS?! :P YOU'RE MAKING ME NOTICE F21 AND IT AIN'T GOOD!

Okay, I wanted to put this in earlier but I forgot.

This morning when Ms Peter was discussing with us sexism in Singaporean law and we mentioned molest, she said something interesting-

"Men are like washing machines. Once you turn them on, you can't turn them off."

I thought that was worth noting. Hahaha! I love her module. Oh but Wednesday is a really taxing day for my brain! Today I came back to teach my student and I couldn't solve lots of Math questions. You see, in the morning we have law - well, it's called Legal Systems and Contracts so we actually only focus on criminal and civil law - and following that we have Organisational Management. OM is easier to digest, but following that is Real Estate Valuation, and there's another bout of property law for you. It's interesting, but my brain is fried at the end of the day. Hehe. But I love learning about law! Today I learnt that the government is 'evil', after all the laws that I digested. Haha! More about that next time.

This is by her too!

Okay, tomorrow is Thursday. It's exciting to see Suzanne again - honestly, I don't think that I am excited because she's a familiar face on TV, but more of the fact that she's actually there in all the action. It's good to have first-hand information. I don't think that there's any novelty about the whole issue about her being our teacher, at least not for me. Suzanne's not an object that I rave about over and over again straight after our first meeting...

Now, shoes - those are things I feel contain a lot of novelty.

Shoes are my newfound love. It's not because, 'oh, I feel so bad that I keep putting it off so I have to write it' but instead 'you idiot why on earth are you putting it of when you wanna write it so bad?' But then again to be honest sometimes I don't feel like writing it not because I don't want to write it for Fizah, but because I am so tired that I want to sleep and not do anything else.

Aiyah.
Well, I'm glad it's all over. One thing is evidenced through Ah Mah's funeral, though - Watermelon has tear ducts.

In case any of you have misunderstood, especially Smellvillains who don't exactly interact with me face-to-face, it was Watermelon's grandma who passed away, not mine. She was like family too, though.

He's someone who doesn't feel much sadness for people... He can feel extreme happiness and elation but not the opposite. But through this experience, I can safely say that Watermelon is someone I can safely entrust my life with.

I'm someone very emotional and most of the time, my heart rules my head. It's hard to always feel upset abut something and have someone not understanding exactly how you feel, and Watermelon was this someone in the past. He could not comprehend the sadness that I felt for a lot of things, the passion that I hold for even more happenings.

However this incident has brought me closer to him emotionally and mentally. It felt good to know that I could support him fully through this loss, and completely understand his pain. I thank God for this - I'm very gratified.

sY thanks for the SMS, dearie. I'm glad you like the card. Many hugs and do take care of yourself in Australia. I'll try to send more DIY recipes to you soon, it must be tough living alone :(

Miss Kwa hehehe. In case you're reading this, thanks for being concerned for us. I really appreciate it. Thank you so, so much.

Min AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHOPPING KAKIS FOREVER! Hahahaha. I was just so super happy that we got Suzanne. Someone who's right there smack in the action.

But honestly, I pay more attention to Miss Kwa's lesson than Suzanne's. There's always this difference, you know.

Okay, right now I feel like a blob. I'm so ultra tired. This week has been crazy. Especially Tuesday till now, I've been attending the funeral till quite late. It wasn't my initial intention to stay so late and all, but it just happened... Today I got home past midnight because today was my official help day. Haha. So, so tired.

Ah Mah's body will be sent to the crematorium tomorrow (Bright Hill in Bishan/Toa Payoh area) and I won't be seeing Watermelon in church because he'll be there at 2 PM...
Two years ago I couldn't stop crying at Mama Tow's funeral not because I missed her, but because Gonggong Tow looked so lonely. And when Sister Grace told her sister and brother (who returned from the US for the funeral) that I called Mama Tow 'Mama Tow' we ended up all crying and hugging each other.

You see, Mama Tow's grandchildren are all in the States and even though I wasn't related to her by blood, she was like my own granny. That's why we were particularly close.

It isn't the same with Ah Mah, though. It's more because of Watermelon that I feel close to Ah Mah, even though she was also special to me in another way. I miss her...

Well, it's late, in all senses of the word.

Hence we have "the rule of thumb".

Many years ago in Scotland, a new game was invented. It was ruled "Gentlemen Only...Ladies Forbidden"...and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language.

The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV were Fred and Wilma Flintstone

Every day more money is printed for Monopoly than the US Treasury.

Men can read smaller print than women can; women can hear better.

Coca-Cola was originally green.

It is impossible to lick your elbow.

The average number of people airborne over the US any given hour: 61,000

Intelligent people have more zinc and copper in their hair.

The first novel ever written on a typewriter: Tom Sawyer.

Each king in a deck of playing cards represents a great king in history:
Spades - King David
Hearts - Charlemagne
Clubs - Alexander, the Great
Diamonds - Julius Caesar

111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321

If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle. If the horse has one front leg in the air the person died as a result of wounds received in battle. If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

Q. If you were to spell out numbers, how far would you have to go until you would find the letter "A"?
A. One thousand

Q. What do bulletproof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers, and laser printers all have in common?
A. All invented by women.

Q. What is the only food that doesn't spoil?
A. Honey

In Shakespeare's time, mattresses were secured on bed frames by ropes. When you pulled on the ropes the mattress tightened, making the bed firmer to sleep on. Hence the phrase, "goodnight, sleep tight."

It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the honey month, which we know today as the honeymoon.

In English pubs, ale is ordered by pints and quarts. So in old England, when customers got unruly, the bartender would yell at them "Mind your pints and quarts, and settle down." It's where we get the phrase "mind your P's and Q's".

Many years ago in England, pub frequenters had a whistle baked into the rim, or handle, of their ceramic cups. When they needed a refill, they used the whistle to get some service. "Wet your whistle" is the phrase inspired by this practice.

-That was courtesy of Felicia (http://scented19.livejournal.com). Hugs to all of you and yes, you people are the ones who'll be here with me when I'm feeling like dung.

Today I finally sought a professional opinion from my godbrother's mom, who's a doctor. She says that it's probably not fibroids at my age!!! Yay. I'm so super relieved and happy! She said that if it only lasts on the first day and at the same spot and my mother had the same condition as me at my age, it's probably just dysmenorrhea.

I realised a small mistake in my post about my suspicion - I said I 'suspect I have dysmenorrhea'. Actually, I HAVE dysmenorrhea, it's just that I suspected it was because of fibroids. But now, it's just dysmenorrhea. Hehehe..

Have to tell Min that's it's okay, we probably don't have fibroids. I don't need to do an ultrasound :) Maybe I'll do it just before I get married, and test for Mediterranean anaemia at the same time.

Okay, there's Ooku on Wednesday to look forward to... YES! I love my timetable because Mondays to Wednesdays I have 8 am lessons and Thursdays I have lessons at 10 am, so I can watch Ooku after Grey's Anatomy! YAYYYY!!

I'm in such a good mood now that I know it's probably just ovulation pain and not because I have growths in my uterus.
Everytime I watch Oku I really want to cry. I just have to watch any small part of it and I start to tear. It's just so sad!

The part that I was really upset about today involved the young sons of the Shogun, Takechiyo and Kunimatsu. Takechiyo is about ten or eleven, and Kunimatsu is the younger brother. They share the same mother, Midai-sama.

The story starts with Takechiyo receiving a box of paints and brushes from his mother, and he asks his nanny, Ofuku-sama, where his mother is. Ofuku-sama replies that his mother cannot see him because she was down with an illness.

The truth was, his mother, Midai-sama, was not sick at all. Ofuku had lied to Takechiyo many times before this when he asked the same question, since his mother never visited him.

In fact, Midai-sama was looking at koi in the pond with her younger son, Kunimatsu, who is an insufferable brat. (I hate him okay.) They were having a lot of fun, and Takechiyo happened to go out to the pond and saw his mother there. He was utterly jealous at how his mother pampered his brother, and when his brother offered to catch his mother some koi from the pond she was so anxious and rushed over saying, "You hands are all wet!"

She then took out a purple handkerchief and wiped Kunimatsu's hands with it. Of course Takechiyo saw it and was angry, I don't blame him. Midai-sama then threw the hanky on the ground, since it's like tissue to her.

Takechiyo walked slowly to the handkerchief and picked if off the grass, looking at it so fondly...

There were so many other scenes that followed that angered me and made me hate Midai-sama and Kunimatsu. I love love love Ofuku-sama because she was very kind to Takechiyo!!!

Hee.

All these took place in the Tokugawa era, and these people really existed. I love Oku! You should hear the Japanese man, it's all archaic. They don't ask 'doushite okaasan kyou kurenai ka' - this roughly means 'why is mother not coming today?' in present-day Japanese, if my memory isn't failing me - but they say, 'nani yue haha-ue don't know what kurenu'. VERY INTERESTING!!! Haha... Sorry, I'm a sucker for this.

Right, back to the show.

Yeah I know it's spelt 'masquerade' but I'm so totally in love with mascara now!!! Muahaaaaa.

Okay, to-buy list in chronological order:

Bourjois Talons Aiguilles - not sure how much it costs but it reviews look pretty appealing to me!

Bourjois Pump Up The Volume - the only one more or less I know the price of. It's not too bad, just under $25 :)

Fasio Powerstay 3D+ Curl+Volume - this is dependable, I've used it before. I hate the smell though.

Bourjois Longeur Sublime - this is lengthening and probably the best bet for my lashes...

Bourjois Volume Glamour - for a fact this is cheaper than Pump Up The Volume, and it probably can volumise my lashes too.

So I'd probably check out Bourjois tomorrow and check the smell - if I like it I'll get it from Jurong East Cosmetics, and pay my fine at Jurong Regional Library as well.

I went to East Coast Park with Watermelon today! LOOOVVVVEEE. I would upload photos if I had my USB cable, but I've misplaced it. Darn.

Oh well, I'm dead beat. I have to bathe, eat medicine and then read my Bible before I sleep. Good night lovelies.

PS - I'm still looking for a gynae.

Hello lovelies!

Well, in case you guys don't know, I suspect I have dysmenorrhea.

That is, severe menstrual cramps.

I didn't have them for the first 5 years since I got my first period - the cramps that occurred were small stuff, I just had to put my hands on my tummy and the pain would go away. It wasn't until about a year ago that I got a very bad bout of cramps and ever since then, the toe-curling pain had been occurring every month. I have been relying heavily on muscle relaxants and painkillers since then.

It was until yesterday that I did some researh before it occurred to me that I could have something more serious.

You see, the causes of dysmenorrhea also include uterine fibroids, which are growths in the uterus. My mother and my aunt had them - although it is not proven that fibroids are a hereditary condition and it is not life threatening, it is evident that women who are in a family that have a history of uterine fibroids have a higher chance of getting the condition compared to women who don't.

Also, even though it's not life threatening, it may affect your ability to have children.

Those who know me really really well will understand that I want three children... You don't know how much I want them man. Being unable to conceive was the prospect that frightened me the most and I cried myself to sleep last night because of it. I was very very very upset that it could happen to me, even though nothing has been confirmed yet.

I managed to get over it today, though, after a good dose of worship and a great time serving God. God is good, He is merciful and will never cause you to grieve or go through hardship to an extent that it is beyond you. Watermelon was very supportive as well.

So. I shall entrust it all to God, and continue my search for a good female gynae. I know for a fact that men are better but it is a stigma that I have, I guess... I don't want any other man, other than my husband, to see my genitals.

Yup, do continue to pray for me and don't go around discussing my condition among yourselves. Yes, I could have put this post under 'Friends Only' but I chose not to because some of you close friends don't have LJ and won't be able to read this, and I want you guys to know.

Just a quiet understanding would be enough - please, do it for me. Thank you.

I slept at four last night and feel horrible today. I can totally smell my immunity decrease. Darn.

I don't think I'm fit enough to go out tonight for tracting, but we'll see. Will just keep praying and at 4 PM today if I'm still unwell, I'll tell Kangbo I have to give it a miss.

This is stupid. I'm not only screwing up my health - I caused myself to jeopardise my chance to serve. Gaaaah.

Okay, I think I better take a nap this afternoon. Shucks.
